Sarajevo Canton Employment Service and the University of Sarajevo signed a Contract on Co-Financing the Employment for 150 Assistants
The signing of a contract between the Sarajevo Canton Employment Service and the University of Sarajevo on the co-financing of the employment of assistants at faculties "150+" was held on Friday, 4 May 2018, in the University of Sarajevo Rectorate.
The contract was signed by Mr. Midhat Osmanbegović, Sarajevo Canton Employment Service director and Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, University of Sarajevo Rector, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Elvira Kazazović, Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Sarajevo Canton, Ms. Amele Dautbegović, Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees, Sarajevo Canton, and Vice-Rectors, Senators, Managers and Representatives of Organizational Units of the University of Sarajevo. The signed contract regulates the mutual rights and obligations of the signatories in order to implement the Program of co-financing the employment of assistants at Faculties “150+”, in accordance with the Public Invitation published on 15 November 2017.
Rector, Škrijelj pointed out that the signing of the contract places the point on a one-month joint work of the Sarajevo Canton Government, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton, the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of the Sarajevo Canton, the Employment Service of the Sarajevo Canton and the University in Sarajevo. “By our joint efforts, we greeted this formal moment to sign a contract on the acceptance of 150 assistants in the employment relationship, with the University of Sarajevo rejuvenating its teaching staff by 10 percent” said Rector Škrijelj.
Director of the Employment Service Mr. Osmanbegović explained that the value of the signed contract amounts to 2,340,000 BAM for 12 months for 150 persons, or 1,300 BAM per month per person and covers the University of Sarajevo, all its faculties and institutes that are in its composition.
It was pointed out that the deadline by which the procedure for selecting assistants was to be carried out on 20 July 2018 and that by that time these young people should be in the ranks of the academic community.
