The National and University Library of BiH Established the DOI Agency

As of 1 January 2020, the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina established the DOI Agency.

DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is a digital object identifier, a standardized identifier (ISO 26324:2012). It serves for the unique identification of objects of any kind. In a digital environment, the DOI is a permanent link to a complete digital object, or information about it, and connects all of its bibliographic information. The DOI system is managed by the International DOI Foundation.

With NUBBiH's DOI mediation, scientific content will be awarded with DOI at the Crossref Registration Agency, acting on behalf of the Publishers International Linking Association, Inc. (PILA), a non-profit organization.

Crossref is a non-profit membership organization whose subject of interest is the identification of scientific content in publishing.

The NUBBiH DOI will provide more visibility to BiH authors and their works internationally, and will manage administrative tasks such as enrollment and bill payment on behalf of members.
