Meeting between the Federal Minister for Veterans and Disabled of the Defense and Liberation War and University of Sarajevo Rector

The Federal Minister for Veterans Affairs and the Disabled of the Defense and Liberation War, Mr. Nedžad Lokmić, visited the University of Sarajevo today to express his gratitude to Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj and the University of Sarajevo for continuous support to students from the veteran population.

Minister Lokmić pointed out that the University of Sarajevo, under the leadership of Rector Škrijelj, provided significant support to students from veteran families through various programs and initiatives, which further contributed to their academic success and integration into society. Minister Lokmić particularly emphasized the importance of recognizing the veteran population as a key pillar of society, devoting full attention to them in educational programs. On that occasion, the minister wished Rector Škrijelj a happy end of his mandate and thanked him for his contribution to the development of the University of Sarajevo during the two terms of office 2016-2020 and 2020-2024.

Rector Prof. Dr. Škrijelj expressed his gratitude to Minister Lokmić for his visit and support and pointed out: “The University of Sarajevo will always be dedicated to providing support to all students and improving their study conditions.” We will continue to work on creating opportunities that will allow them to realize their potential and contribute to society.”
