Fourth Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Academy Opened
The ProActa Association for Democratic Development in cooperation with the UNSA Faculty of Law on 22 October 2018 opened the fourth Academy for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency.
The Academy for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency is organized under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Sarajevo Canton Prime Minister’s Cabinet and will be organized through seven modules in the following areas: judiciary, psychology, social policy, security, media, health, sport and non-governmental organizations.
The Academy students are University of Sarajevo students, from the following Faculties: Law, Criminology and Security Studies, Political Science (Social Work and Journalism), Philosophy (Psychology) and Faculty of Sports and Physical Education.
Through lectures and workshops by university professors and practitioners, 40 students will have the opportunity to participate in various modules, with the aim of educating students about the importance and ways of preventing juvenile offending.
After gaining knowledge, students will have the opportunity to be the designers of creative ideas in the prevention of this area, and conduct thematic workshops for high school students.
