First Meeting of the Working Package “Social Dialogue” of the EUPeace Alliance: The “Living Lab” Concept at the Forefront of the Madrid Assembly

Following a series of online working meetings among EUPeace partners within Working Package 7: “Social Dialogue,” the inaugural in-person gathering took place on 9 and 10 December 2024, in Madrid, organized by Comillas University. The University of Sarajevo was represented by Dr. Gaj Trifković, the leader of Working Package 7 within the EUPeace alliance, along with appointed members of the working group, Professor Dr. Jelena Gaković and Dr. Tatjana Žarković from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Sarajevo.
The purpose of the meeting was to exchange experiences, best practices, and engage in discussions regarding the implementation of various methodological approaches under the “Living Lab” concept. Additionally, a workshop on managing “Living Lab” projects was organized, equipping participants with specific knowledge and skills essential for effective planning, organization, and budgeting of anticipated activities.
The in-person meetings and networking opportunities with representatives from partner universities facilitated interactive communication and strengthened multilateral relationships within Working Package 7 of the EUPeace alliance. The subsequent steps will involve intensifying the social dialogue between academia and external stakeholders interested in collaboration on social innovation projects, aiming to foster an inclusive, peaceful, and just society.
