The Faculty of Transport and Communications, University of Sarajevo has joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Educate program

In accordance with the goal of introducing new teaching methods for acquiring practical knowledge and skills of its students, the Faculty of Transport and Communications of the University of Sarajevo joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Educate program in March 2021.

The program is provided by the global technology company Amazon.com, Inc. and is currently accessed by about 2,400 institutions, universities and colleges from around the world. The AWS Educate program consists of a set of educational resources that provides online access to dedicated content and programs aimed at creating skills in popular areas of cloud computing.

Students of the second cycle of studies in the Department of Communications use the program within the teaching process of the course "Distributed Computer Systems" to perform various project activities with access to the AWS Educate Student portal, as well as Amazon Web services: EC2, S3, VPC, etc. In addition, students can independently use other available resources to master the skills needed in their careers in the currently sought after areas of cloud computing: Cloud Career Pathways, AWS Educate Badges, AWS Educate Job Board and participation in regional and global competitions and promotions.
