Faculty of Education, University of Sarajevo Receives Special Recognition in Osijek

On the occasion of Faculty Day, celebrated on 1 October 2026, the Faculty of Education of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek awarded a special recognition to the Faculty of Education at the University of Sarajevo for successful institutional cooperation. At the ceremonial academy, only one other recipient received this recognition—the Agency for Education of the Republic of Croatia—which further underscores its significance.

On behalf of the Faculty of Education, the recognition was received by Dean, Professor Dr. Mirela Omerović, who attended the ceremonial academy together with the Head of the Department of Preschool Education, Professor Dr. Jasmina Bećirović-Karabegović.

This recognition is the result of continuous work on internationalization, strong international cooperation, and the growing visibility of the Faculty of Education in the regional and European academic space. It is also confirmation that the quality of the Faculty’s teaching, research, and professional work is recognized and valued beyond the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
