Cooperation Agreement Signed between the BH Islamic Community Waqf Directorate and the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo

University of Sarajevo Faculty of Law and the BH Islamic Community - Waqf Directorate signed an Agreement on Cooperation on Tuesday, 3 March 2020 at the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo.
Faculty of Law in Sarajevo Dean, Prof. Dr. Hajrija Sijerčić-Čolić on this occasion hosted Dr. Senaid Zaimović, Waqf Directorate Director and the working meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Fikret Karčić, Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Law, Doz. Dr. Mehmed Bečić, author of the project on the legal fate of Sarajevo waqfs, Doz. Dr. Mirza Hebib, project associate and Amela Trako-Mahmutović, lawyer at Waqf Directorate.
The participants at the meeting expressed strong joint decision to work together. Activities to achieve the objectives contained in the agreement will be initiated by the joint organization of a scientific conference on the “legal fate of the waqf muqat.”
The working meeting resulted in concrete job proposals, such as joint scientific research projects and support of the Waqf Instruction for the preparation of master's and doctoral theses based on legal regulatory vacuums. It was particularly emphasized that meeting strongly emphasize future institutional organization through two institutions when designing the study and legal solutions for important future legal projects, as an example of involving the academic community and the profession in addressing important issues of social importance.
