Concert Season and the Music Education Center of the Sarajevo Academy of Music are proud to announce the start of the project "Music Dialogue for 10"
Witnessing the inspired dedication, enthusiasm and desire of the students and staff of the Sarajevo Academy of Music to use their potential to the best of their ability to restore artistic music to a place that belongs to the cultural scene rightly in BiH, the Concert Season in collaboration with the MAS Center for Music Education and this year, for the third time in a row, is organizing a project on the Academy on Tour cycle called “Music Dialogue for 10.”
Organized with the aim of spreading educational and artistic values and promoting the work of the Academy, the project “Musical Dialogue for 10” implies a visit of professors, associates and students of the Academy, to secondary music schools in nine schools in BH towns: Bihać (6 March), Tuzla (9 March), Žepče (10 March), Novi Travnik (12 March), Trebinje (13 March), Zenica (18 March), Široki Brijeg (19. March), Mostar (March 20) and Sarajevo (March 23). The visits will be realized in the form of masterclasses with the students of the host schools by professors and associates of the Academy, as well as nine full-time concerts at which the best students will be presented to the public. It is planned that about a thousand active and passive participants will take part in the project, which makes this project one of the most significant BH events in the fields of arts and music education.
The "Music Dialogue for 10" project’s finale is scheduled for 20 May 20, 2020, at the City Hall of Sarajevo, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Academy and the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth, which is celebrated around the world.
The partner of the project finisher is the Goethe-Institut, which already included the concert in the Southeastern Europe Festival dedicated to marking Beethoven's anniversary, while the sponsor of the final gala concert is the City of Sarajevo and Mayor Mr. Abdulah Skaka.
