The Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Bosnia and Herzegovina Visited the University of Sarajevo

On Friday, 10 June 2025, the ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Valeri Jotov, held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, Rector of the University of Sarajevo; Prof. Dr. Kemal Durić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation; and Prof. Dr. Naris Pojskić, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research. The discussion focused on opportunities to expand cooperation between the academic communities of the two countries and to organize joint cultural events.

Activities of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute and its president, Prof. Hristo Pimpirev, as well as Bulgaria’s collaboration with Antarctic Treaty member countries within the framework of the Antarctic Treaty and the successes of Bulgarian polar expeditions, were presented.

An agreement was reached to organize a photographic exhibition titled “33 Years of Bulgaria in Antarctica” at the University Rectorate at the end of September this year, along with the projection of documentary films and the presentation of the latest book by Prof. Hristo Pimpirev.
