UNSA Participates in the World Bank Project

Technical Assistance to mainstreaming climate resilience risk in road management in BiH

The University of Sarajevo Faculty of Civil Engineering expert team participates in a significant expert and research project Technical Assistance to mainstreaming climate resilience risk in road management in BiH, invested by the World Bank and with the JP FBIH Ceste ultimate beneficiary.

The Research Consortium selected for project preparation is headed by Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) from the United Kingdom, in cooperation with the University of Birmingham (UK) and the University of Sarajevo. In accordance with the project objectives, the project team will support the JP FBIH Ceste, which is responsible for maintaining and managing the main road network in the FBiH. Through the provision of necessary information for the smooth implementation of project activities, the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute, the Water Resources Agency of the Sava River, the Adriatic Sea Water Agency, the Federal Institute of Geology and the Federal Civil Protection Administration will be included in the project.

The project started in November 2017 and will last until July 2018.
