Visit of the Delegation to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and launching the latest equipment for air pollution measuring
A senior delegation of the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo, the Embassy of Sweden to BiH and UNDP visited the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, on 20 December 2019, on the occasion of the successful implementation of the “Advanced Air Pollution Research” project. The delegation consisted of: in front of the Government of the KS Edin Forto, Prime Minister, Mr. Damir Filipovic, Minister and Mr. Mustafa Čopelj, Advisor to the Prime Minister; in front of the Swedish Embassy, Her Excellency Johanna Stromquist, Ambassador and Mrs. Aiša Bijedić, Embassy Officer; in front of UNDP Elvis Hadžikadić, Project Manager. On behalf of the Faculty, the delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Izet Bijelonja, Dean, Prof. Dr. Muris Torlak, Vice Dean for Research and Prof. Dr. Adnan Mašić, Project Manager.
The instruments purchased are among the most modern devices in the world in this field, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering becoming a prominent center in the complexity of airborne particulate matter research. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering thanks the Government of KS, the Swedish Embassy in BiH and UNDP for the realization of this project, with the wish that cooperation will continue in the future.
