Significance of Human Resource Development Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) and Services of EURAXESS Centers Conference Held at University of Sarajevo
The conference Significance of Human Resource Development Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) and Services of EURAXESS Centers took place at the University of Sarajevo on Friday, 13 December 2019. Welcome speeches by Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, Vice-Rector for Research, University of Sarajevo and Mr. Ammar Miraščija, Head of the Department of Science, Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina opened the conference.
In January 2019 the University of Sarajevo received the European Commission's “HR Excellence in Research Award” thus deciding to align its vision of human resources developing with the European Charter for Researchers and the Employment Code European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. An integral and indispensable part of the HRS4R Strategy’s Action Plan in the Process of Improving Research Potentials is certainly the promotion and intensification of the work of the EURAXESS Service Center at the University of Sarajevo, which has been further strengthened by the support of the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs.
Presentation on the current state of the EURAXESS initiative in BiH was given by Doz. Dr. Miroslav Malinović, BHO Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prof. Dr. Miroslav Trajanović from the University of Niš spoke at today's conference on three topics “The importance of the HRS4R process for higher education institutions,” “Researcher mobility - challenges and possible solutions in the evaluation process” and “Research in the open science era.”
"University of Banja Luka Experience" was a joint presentation by Doz. Dr. Miroslav Malinović, BHO Bosnia and Herzegovina and Dragan Radulović, Office of Scientific Research, which presented the implementation of HRS4R and preparations for the first evaluation.
The conference’s aim was to promote the creation and implementation of the HRS4R Strategy and the EURAXESS Initiative, as well as to initiate discussions on issues related to the mobility of researchers in the Western Balkan countries, and to exchange experiences on the development of EURAXESS networks in the countries of the region.
The conference was held as a part of the implementation of the project “Supporting the EURAXESS Service Center at the University of Sarajevo", financially supported by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the “Program for the Preparation of Projects and Potential Applicants for H2020 Funds.”
