Dr. sc. Mirza Buljubašić, winner of the prestigious "Danubius Young Scientist Award" for 2023

The Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies of the University of Sarajevo is very proud and pleased to inform the public that the senior assistant of the Faculty, Dr. Sc. Mirza Buljubašić was awarded the prestigious "Danubius Young Scientist Award" for 2023. The Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research has been awarding this high recognition for the tenth year to young scientists from the Danube region, who have contributed to the development and improvement of the scientific community with their outstanding work, and dr. sc. Mirza Buljubasic was awarded as the only young scientist from Bosnia and Herzegovina among the numerous nominees from various universities in our country.

Mirza Buljubašić made an exceptional contribution to criminology with his scientific involvement in the research of war crimes, terrorism and right-wing extremism, which earned him international recognition and set new standards in our academic environment. His achievements reflect the high standards of scholarly excellence and innovation to which we aspire in the Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies, and highlight our unwavering commitment to education and research that contributes to both the local and global community.

This recognition not only highlights the outstanding achievements of Mirza Buljubasic, but also confirms the reputation of our faculty and the University of Sarajevo as leading institutions in promoting academic excellence and scientific innovation.
