Academy of Performing Arts: Renown for Its Educational, Artistic and Professional Achievements of Teachers and Students
On Wednesday, 3 June 2020, at the premises of the UNSA Academy of Performing Arts, a meeting between the Academy Dean, Prof. Srđan Vuletić and University Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj took place. The meeting was also attended by the University Vice-Rectors: Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović and Prof. Sanja Burić, Academy Vice-Deans: Prof. Dr. Elma Tataragić and Prof. Dr. Mersad Čuljević.
At the meeting topics related to the reform process and the University integration and the need for amending the Cantonal Law on Higher Education HP were discussed. Also were discussed the construction of a new Academy of Performing Arts building, which is in the completion of construction works phase, and with the completion of which this higher education institution will be one step closer to the permanent solution of accommodation.
Rector Škrijelj pointed out that the results that the Academy of Performing Arts has achieved within the space it currently has are exceptional. The excellent cooperation between the Academy and the University when it comes to the organization of cultural and artistic events was also emphasized, as well as the contribution of the Academy in the realization of the program of marking the 70th University of Sarajevo’s anniversary.
The Academy of Performing Arts is the oldest and most successful institution of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It strives for continuous development and recognition for its teaching, artistic and professional achievements of professors and students. Professors, former and current students of the Academy of Performing Arts have won more than 200 relevant awards in the field of theater, television and film.
