University of Sarajevo librarians’ one-week training visit to Charles University in Prague

One-week visit training for librarians at Charles University
Prague, Czech Republic (18-22 November 2019)
One-week mobility training for non-teaching staff (librarians) FROM the University of Sarajevo within the ERASMUS + program was realized at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, from 18 to 22 November 2019.
In addition to librarians from Albania, Greece, Poland and Slovakia, University of Sarajevo also participated: Mr. Sc. Anita Konjicija-Kovač (Librarian at the Library of the Music Academy), Igor Mišković, Prof. (associate librarian at the Library of the Institute of History), Fuada Muslić, Prof. (Head of the Publishing Department of the University of Sarajevo Rectorate) and Mr. Sc. Mirela Rožajac-Zulčić (Associate at the Faculty of Law).
According to a program prepared at Charles University, librarians from the University of Sarajevo had the opportunity to visit the Charles University Central Library, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Arts, the Library of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the library of the Center for Economic Research and the library of the Faculty of Humanities got to know the organization of work of libraries, their services, space, funds and collections, and special collections and periodicals. Also, the librarians visited an exhibition on the history of Charles University.
This visit was an opportunity to gain new knowledge and experiences that can be transferred to our environment, and an opportunity to meet new colleagues in the inspirational and creative environment of one of the largest universities in the Czech Republic. In addition to academic gains, this one-week training visit has helped to strengthen and promote cooperation between Charles University and the University of Sarajevo.
