FabLab held a workshop “Basics of 3D printing” for the Faculty of Pharmacy employees

An all-day workshop “Basics of 3D Printing” was held on 22 July 2021 at the premises of FabLab on the Campus of the University of Sarajevo.

Employees of the Faculty of Pharmacy had the opportunity to learn the basics of 3D printing through understanding FDM 3D printers and 3D modeling.

At the workshop, participants learned about file preparation, i.e., understanding the "slicer" program and the G-CODE programming language, as well as about free online databases of 3D models.

In the second part of the workshop, the focus was on errors in 3D printing, where participants were introduced to the most common problems when using FDM 3D printers and possible corrections.

The workshop ended with a presentation and examples of customizing the model and finishing it.
