Agreement signed between the UNSA Faculty of Transport and Communications and the Flying School of the Aeroclub "Izet Kurtalić" Visoko
UNSA Faculty of Transport and Communications Dean, Prof. Dr. Amel Kosovac signed an agreement on business and technical cooperation with the president of the Aeroclub "Izet Kurtalić" in Visoko, Prof. Dr. Mirsad Kapetanović.
The Faculty of Traffic and Communications is a higher education institution that implements study programs in the field of traffic (Road Traffic, Railway Traffic and Air Traffic) and Communication (Communication Technologies, Computer and Information Technologies, Postal Technologies). As a state Faculty, it has a long tradition of education, from which the most promising personnel and engineers in the field of traffic and communications have come and go, including generations of aero-technical staff, pilots and air traffic controllers.
Aeroclub Flying School "Izet Kurtalić" is a training organization approved in accordance with the standards required by the European Aviation Safety Organization (EASA). The cooperation of the signatories of the Agreement represents the approximation of practice and theory in the field of aviation, with special reference to flight operations, aircraft systems, aviation regulations, aero-technical affairs as well as all accompanying processes related to aviation.
Students will have the opportunity to directly participate in the organizational and operational activities of the school and its activities, and improve their own knowledge and skills. The agreement is also of great importance in adapting to standards and norms in the field of higher education and scientific research of the University of Sarajevo, where students will be able to engage in scientific work in the field of aviation. Dean Kosovac emphasized that in addition to educating the contracting party, they will jointly perform and cooperate in the development of studies, studies and local and international projects. This cooperation represents a step forward for quality, innovation, flexibility and compliance with the needs and requirements of sustainable development of transport and communication systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
