Results of online teaching on the subject “Basics of Multimedia and Digital Creation II”

After the suspension of classes in the classrooms, workshops and classes of the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Sarajevo in mid-March 2020, due to extraordinary circumstances caused by the appearance of coronavirus (COVID-19), the teaching process was moved to the online space.

As part of the course “Basics of Multimedia and Digital Creation II”, first year students of Graphics, Teacher Education, Product Design and Graphic Design continued to get acquainted with the creative possibilities of integrating various media elements into a multimedia work on the example of conceptualization and the production of an audio-visual collage.

As one of the goals of the course is to develop sensitivity to sound as an artistic medium and its integration with other media elements, and to acquire basic knowledge, skills and abilities of audio-visual editing (ie integration of sound with a series of images), students are based on selected locations from public space, did research on how sound shapes our understanding of space and atmosphere, and then conceived, and created audio works that represent their personal creative interpretation of selected locations. As part of online teaching, they first developed basic skills in the field of processing and digital sound editing, and then moved on to the second phase - research in audio-visual synthesis, which included making drawings, and editing work.

Under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Adla Isanović and Ass. Nedim Šećeragić, the works were created by first year students of the Academy of Fine Arts: Petra Strban, Benjamin Hrbenić, Zorana Jakovljević, Emina Jelešković, Maja Hodžić, Izabela Jalovčić (Graphics Department), Dženana Hoti, Ilda Halilčević, Ilma Kulić (Teachers Department), Iman Kabaš, Dalila Prando, Asija Mustajbašić, Sabrina Grbešić, Ilma Pandžo, Samir Mrković, Alen Ramčević, Amila Tihić, Ena Hukić, Merisa Sokol, Saira Feriz, Elma Voloder, Nizama Lapo, Borislav Trapara (Product Design Department), Adisa Bajić, Nora Berthoud, Ajla Balijagić, Sara Bubak, Kemal Beganivić, Ajna Hujdur and Mustafa Velagić (Graphic Design Department).
