Institute of History: Leading scientific institution in the field of historiography in Bosnia and Herzegovina

University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj and Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović had a meeting with Institute of History a. d, Dr. Sedad Bešlija and the scientific staff. At the meeting held of 8 June 2020 at the University of Sarajevo Rectorate, the Institute’s research work, improvement and previous results, as well as spatial capacities were discussed.
The necessity of providing adequate spatial capacities for the Institute of History was emphasized, and it was emphasized that activities will be continued in the coming period to resolve the issue of accommodation of the Institute within the University Campus, since the current accommodation does not have enough capacity to accommodate a large number of library and archives materials.
On this occasion, Rector Škrijelj emphasized the University's commitment to support the work and efforts of young people to preserve and strengthen the Institute of History.
The Institute of History is a leading scientific institution in the field of historiography in Bosnia and Herzegovina, specializing in the study of the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the early Middle Ages to the present day. The University of Sarajevo Institute of History celebrated its 60th anniversary with a ceremonial academy held in December 2019.
