Academy of Fine Arts: Contribution to the Qualitative Transformation of the Cultural Environment in a Wide Range of Fine and Visual Arts
The realization of the teaching process and the achieved results, artistic work, and reform processes and integration of the University were the topics of the meeting of University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj and Academy of Fine Arts Dean, Prof. Dr. Dubravka Lejlić-Pozderac. The meeting, held on 4 June 2020, at the Academy of Fine Arts and it was attended by University Vice-Rectors: Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović and Prof. Sanja Burić, Academy Vice Deans Prof. Mr. Sc. Mirsad Begović and Prof. Mr. Sc. Srđa Hrisafović, as well as Mr. Sc. Miroslav Živanović, Head of the Rector's Office, Ms. Elma Đozo, Secretary of the Academy and Ms. Nadja Softić from the Student Affairs Service of the Academy.
Rector Škrijelj emphasized that the three art academies of the University of Sarajevo actively worked and continuously contributed to the development of art at the University of Sarajevo, but also in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that they significantly improved the overall results of the University.
The excellent cooperation between the Academy and the University was emphasized when it comes to the organization of cultural and artistic events, but also the contribution of the Academy to the celebration of the anniversaries of the University through the organization of exhibitions of art works of students.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the interdisciplinary study "Conservation and Restoration", which is performed in the first and second cycle of studies, and which is jointly implemented by the Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Architecture, and the issue of revitalization meets the modern requirements of the science of cultural heritage protection.
In its almost half a century of operation, the Academy of Fine Arts has educated excellent artists and experts of high creative achievements who successfully represent the Academy on the international art and design scene. The Academy is pleased to point out that this is a staff that gives its full contribution to the qualitative transformation of the cultural environment in a wide range of fine and visual arts.
