Faculty of Political Sciences marks 2019 Global Media and Information Literacy Week
On 24 October 2019, a public lecture and discussion with students marked the beginning of Global Media and Information Literacy Week at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Sarajevo. Doz. Dr. Emir Vajzović, Prof. Dr. Lejla Turčilo, and a representative of the Communications Regulatory Agency Lea Čengić and a representative of the Press Council Ljiljana Zurovac spoke with the Faculty of Political Sciences students on the topic of the importance of MIL empowered active citizen in media regulation and self-regulation.
The aim of the interview was to present to students the concepts of media regulation and self-regulation in BiH, and to explain to them how they, as active citizens, can participate in these processes.
FPN continues to cooperate with CRA and HEI, as well as other partner institutions and organizations, in developing media and information literacy, and this lecture and discussion was only an introduction to future planned activities with students, aimed at improving their media and information competencies.
