Promotion of the Latest Institute of History Issues Held in Visoko
The latest edition of the UNSA Institute of History publications was held at the Altindag Cultural Center in Visoko on 24 September 2019. The promotion organizers were the Institute and the Visoko Local Museum.
On behalf of the event host, Mubera Imamović-Pulo, Visoko Local Museum Acting Director delivered an opening address to numerous visitors and opened the event. The address was followed by the promotion of the Institute’s Journal Prilozi no. 47 edited by Dr. Hana Younis. The promoter was Dr. Ramiza Smajić. Promotion of four historical monographs of the Institute followed: Sedad Bešija, Istimalet: Bosna u osmanskoj političkoj strategiji 15. i 16. stoljeća (Istimalet: Bosnia in Ottoman Political Strategy in the 15th and 16th Centuries), promoted by Dr. Muamer Hodžić, UNSA Oriental Studies Institute; Hana Younis, Od dućana do pozorišta – sarajevska trgovačka elita 1851-1878 (From Shop to Theater - Sarajevo Commercial Elite 1851-1878), promoted by Dr. Sedad Bešlija; Enes S. Omerović, Nacionalne manjine u BiH (National Minorities in BiH 1918-1941); Seka Brkljača and Muhamed Nametak, Bosanski trougao u crvenoj zvijezdi – kulturni tokovi i izgradnja socijalističkog društva u BiH 1945-1952 (The Bosnian Triangle in the Red Star - Cultural Moments and the Construction of Socialist Society in BiH 1945-1952), promoted by Dr. Dženita Rujanac.
At the end, Dr. Sabina Veladžić talked about another Institute’s Journal, Historical searches No. 17.
It was a pleasant one-hour socializing with a book and historical topics. At the end of the program, Dr. Sedad Bešlija, Institute Acting Director thanked the promoters for their hard work and professional presentation of the publications and for the audience who found time to listen about the scientific results of the Institute in the year of Jubilee.
