Visit to the Faculty of Islamic Sciences within the Third International Conference of Military Imams

More than fifty high-ranking officers and generals from fourteen countries visited the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, University of Sarajevo on Monday, 23 September 2019 within the Third International Conference of Military Imams implementation, in the section dealing with the cultural and religious heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In his welcome address to the guests, Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Zuhdija Hasanović emphasized the importance and position of the Faculty in the Islamic Community’s structure as an educational institution, which through its educational program representing a combination of both East and West’s values. The broader information about the Faculty and its historical significance was presented by Prof. Dr. Aid Smajić, who also introduced some important contemporary projects the Faculty is committed to.
This distinguished delegation ended its visit with a pleasant gathering in the small atrium of the Faculty. Military mufti Hadis-ef. Pašalić on this occasion presented the Certificate of Appreciation to the Faculty Dean for many years of successful and high-quality cooperation, and in his address emphasized that numerous military imams, who honestly and responsibly do their job, are the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo graduates.
