Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Students at the regional programming competition

On Saturday, 20 October 2018, the regional competition from the programming “The SouthEastern European Regional Contest of the ACM ICPC” was held at the Polytechnic University in Bucharest.
This was the first time that of the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics students had the opportunity to participate and represent the University of Sarajevo at such a big competition, which recently marked its 42nd anniversary. Our students had the opportunity to be a part of this story because of their victory at the PMF Programming Contest in March 2018, organized by the Association of Students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science and the Mathematics Association of Sarajevo Canton.
Students representing the University of Sarajevo were deployed in two teams, consisting of: Riad Muminović, Elvir Crncević, Muhamed Parić, Armin Šarak, Jan Ahmetspahić and Muamer Parić, led by Harun Hindija, assistant, and Meliha Kurtagić, Faculty associate. They were, in really strong and big competition, better than half of the teams, and we wholeheartedly congratulate them.
