UNSA Signed MOU with the University of Indonesia
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Sarajevo and the University of Indonesia took place in the University of Sarajevo Rectorate on Thursday, 18 October 2018. On behalf of the University of Sarajevo, the Memorandum was signed by Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, in the presence of the Embassy of Indonesia in BiH representatives, who will also submit it to the University of Indonesia management for signature.
The signing of the Memorandum was attended by Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolić, University of Sarajevo Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Indonesian Embassy representatives: Mr. Febry Elsafrino, First Secretary, and Mr. Mahendra, Advisor for Economic Affairs.
Namely, the signing is the result of a successful meeting between the Rector Škrijelj and Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to BiH H. E. Amelie Achmad Yani, held in January this year, when a mutual interest in academic and cultural cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and universities in Indonesia was expressed, and emphasized that the achievement of academic cooperation would represent a new quality in the relations of our two countries.
The Memorandum implies the development of institutional cooperation that will be further realized through special programs of mutual interest. Collaboration will be implemented through networking and mutual exchange of teachers, researchers, students and other staff for the purpose of lecturing, visiting and sharing experience; joint participation and registration for funds intended for educational, research and artistic activities; joint activities in the field of education, training and/or research; joint organization of conferences, symposia, congresses, seminars, courses; opportunities for cooperation in research, possibilities for commercialization of technology; student exchange program, exchange of professional literature, textbooks and other university publications; exchange of information in the area of mutual interest, and other activities of common interest.
