International conference “Media image of the social work profession in Bosnia and Herzegovina” held

The international conference “Media image of the social work profession in Bosnia and Herzegovina” was held at the UNSA Faculty of Political Sciences.
The conference brought together experts in the field of social work and communication studies, with the aim of improving the public perception of social work and exchanging experiences among professionals.
One of the key topics of the conference was the consideration of ethical challenges that social workers face in their daily work. In this context, the importance of responsible media reporting that respects the privacy of social service users and the need for an objective and professional approach in reporting on the activities of social workers was emphasized.
The conference made a significant contribution to a better understanding of the role of social workers in society, as well as to promoting a positive image in public discourse through media reporting.
The organizing committee consisted of: Prof. Dr. Sanela Šadić, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anida Dudić-Sijamija and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lamija Silajdžić from the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo, and Prof. Dr. Gordana Berc and Prof. Dr. Marina Milić from the Social Work Study Center of the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.
The conference was held with the support of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
