Art@CMS - CERN exhibition in Sarajevo
Society for science advocacy “Science and the World” organizes an exhibition Art@CMS & PHYSICS IN CERN from 16 to 19 October 2018 in cooperation with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Embassy of the Republic of France in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The exhibition was officially opened at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo on October 16, 2018 and is a part of a project seeking to connect the wider community, especially people related to education, arts and humanities, with the scientific community gathered by the Large Hadron Collider - LHC in Switzerland. The exhibition features works by six artists, including CMS collaborators and founder of Arts@CMS Michael Hoch, visual artist Heather Barnett, drummers Annie Cattrell and Bill Woodrow, and multimedia artist Melanie Jackson. It is designed to include a piece of dedicated art and a technical part that shows the history of CERN, so the artistic images are a commentary on the poster, and the poster is a commentary on artistic images.
