Discussions on cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and higher education institutions in India
The University of Sarajevo was visited today by a delegation from the Republic of India, consisting of Deepak Bansal, Deputy Secretary in the Department of Central Europe of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, and Praveen Kumar, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Bosnia and Herzegovina, based in Budapest. The delegation was hosted by University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Tarik Zaimović, and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Kemal Durić. During the meeting, they discussed strengthening the connection between higher education institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and India, including joint creation of curricula, improving the exchange of students, professors and researchers, and strengthening academic ties between the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the modalities of cooperation in areas such as information technology management and the application of artificial intelligence, which are recognized as key segments for the development of innovative approaches to education and research.
This visit marks a significant step towards improving academic and research cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of India, with mutual willingness to further develop partnership relations.
