Concert of contemporary piano music held at the UNSA Music Academy

On 29 December 2023, a concert of contemporary piano music was held at the University of Sarajevo Music Academy as part of the program of the University of Sarajevo's Solemn December Days.

At the beginning of the concert, Zlatan Božuta performed the composition “Dream” by John Cage, after which he and Kristina Lazić interpreted “Amen de la Création” from “Visions de l'Amen” by Olivier Messiaen.

Benjamin Goletić (1st year, class: Prof. M.Sc. Višnja Bakalar) played Cage's composition “A Room”, while Josipa Bošnjak (4th year, class: Prof. M.Sc. Azra Medić) performed Etude no. 10, “Der Zauberlehrling” by György Ligeti. The program also included “Variationen zur Gesundung von Arinuschka” by Arvo Pärt interpreted by Nedimo Seferović (4th year, class: Prof. Dragan Opančić, M.Sc. and V. Asst. M.Sc. Zlatan Božuta).

The concert was rounded off by the performance of Mirza Gološ, who performed “Voicelessness. The Snow Has No Voice” by Beat Furrer and the cycle of etudes for piano “At the speech therapist” by Dina Rešidbegović.

This event was realized as part of the artistic-research project “Performative models in the interpretation of new techniques in the piano literature of international and Bosnian composers of the 20th and 21st centuries” which is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton.
