Austria Day at the Department of German Studies, UNSA Faculty of Philosophy
The Austria Day was celebrated at the Department of German Studies at the UNSA Faculty of Philosophy. The event was organized by the Agency for Education and Internationalization (OeAD) and the Culture and Language (Kultur und Sprache) program. Under the leadership of Angela Wisnecky from Vienna, this event brought together students, teachers, collaborators, as well as external participants to explore the linguistic and cultural diversity of Austria.
The workshops were focused on the topics of “Social and Linguistic Diversity” and “Aesthetic Learning in German Language Teaching,” exploring how aesthetic elements such as art, literature, music, etc. can enrich the teaching of the German language. Along with authentic Austrian delicacies, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and explore the richness of Austrian culture through language, art and aesthetics. The workshops also provided an inspiring and educational working atmosphere, encouraging students to take a creative approach to learning and imparting knowledge. Austria Day successfully combined theoretical knowledge with practical examples and methods, highlighting the importance of including culture in learning and teaching a foreign language.
