The meeting of partners in the ERASMUS + project: Library Network Support Services (LNSS): Modernizing libraries in Western Balkan countries through staff development and reforming library services (CBHE 561987) was held in Brasov, Romania from 7 to 10 March 2016.
The meeting was organized by Transylvania University of Brasov (Romania), Limerick Institute of Technology (Ireland). Meeting was attended by project coordinators from Limerick Institute of Technology (Ireland) and representatives of: Transylvania University of Brasov (Romania), University of Crete (Greece), Agricultural University from Tirana (Albania), “Fan S. Noli” University of Korce (Albania), Cantonal and University Library in Bihac (BiH), University of Mostar (BiH), University of Tirana (Albania), University of Pristina, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo (Kosovo under UNSC Resolution 1244/99), University of Montenegro (Montenegro), and University of Sarajevo (BiH).
Project coordinator representatives from the Limerick Institute of Technology, Ireland presented the fundamental objectives of the CBHE 561987 project. Afterwards there was a meeting of the Project Steering Committee Working Group meeting during which all partners briefly presented their institutions and project participants, their responsibilities within the project as well as the needs and expectations related to the project. Later at the meeting in detail were discussed the obligations of the partners in terms of writing reports, financial statements, report on mobility and the strict and complex rules and requirements of the Erasmus+ program. The attention was also given to a number of administrative issues (consortium agreements, internal and final reports, the use of the logo of the project, etc.) and project’s work packages and in particular: LNSS training, network modules development, workshops, Library National Awareness Days campaign. It was agreed that the next partner meeting be held at the Cantonal and University Library of Bihac (BiH) in June 2016, during an International Conference on Information Literacy.
