Nastavljen rad 5. međunarodnog kongresa
„Islamska civilizacija na Balkanu“
U petak 22. maja 2015. godine u Gazi Husrev-begovoj biblioteci nastavljen je rad trodnevnog, 5. međunarodnog kongresa o temi „Islamska civilizacija na Balkanu“ koji se održava u organizaciji Istraživačkog centra za islamsku historiju, umjetnost i kulturu (IRCICA) i Univerziteta u Sarajevu. Kongres je organiziran s ciljem da održi i dalje poboljša naučne razmjene koje su uspostavljene između stručnjaka i istraživača iz ove oblasti tokom proteklih kongresa održanih u Sofiji (2000. godine), Tirani (2003. godine), Bukureštu (2006. godine) i Skoplju (2010. godine).
Drugog dana kongresa u okviru održanih sesija prezentirana su sljedeća izlaganja:

Kongres je obuhvatio historiju islamske civilizacije na Balkanu sa različitih aspekata: razvoj u oblastima nauke, filozofije, tehnologije, umjetnosti, jezika, književnosti i drugim oblastima intelektualne aktivnosti; interakcije sa drugim kulturama diljem ovog regiona; nasljedstvo islamske civilizacije u smislu materijalne kulture (arhitektonsko naslijeđe, pisano naslijeđe i druga materijalna imovina) kao i u smislu nematerijalne i duhovne kulture (usmeni, ritualni i drugi nematerijalni aspekti kulture).
